name is
Gary Robble. The purpose of this Official Website is to
provide accurate information regarding the achievements and history of the
career of Sonny James.I requested and received
permission
from Sonny to commission this Website because I have read so many
erroneous quotes in articles and even some CD liner notes regarding his
career from persons who have never met him.
Having worked with Sonny for 7 years from 1964 through
1971 as a member of his "Southern Gentleman", I have collected this
information and stand on its content as to the truth as things happened.
I hope you enjoy these efforts.

All original image scans performed for this site were processed by Greg
Robble, Gary Robble & the fine people at Wolf Camera of Nashville, TN.
The image shown on right is the "big-book" format which Sonny used to
present his photos. These original photos were then carefully
removed from each page, scanned and then repositioned back to the page
before being returned to Sonny.
Audio Clip Mastering

services were given freely to Sonny & Doris as a small gift of our love
and appreciation for not only their dear friendship but their kind hearts
and incredible unyielding witness.
Sonny & Doris spent countless hours
working to fulfill our requests for photos and information and I can't
thank them enough for all their efforts. I can only hope this site
reflects their commitment and vision to share such a large portion of
their lives together... with you.
